Wíhiē̼zug Se covers an area of nearly 7 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4966 m (16292 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Wíhiē̼zug Se was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1392, by Brîj Collins. The establishment of Wíhiē̼zug Se was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Brîj Collins electing to pay people to resettle in Wíhiē̼zug Se.

Wíhiē̼zug Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wíhiē̼zug Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Wíhiē̼zug Se is is constructed arround a semi-circular spacious paverstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Wíhiē̼zug Se's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Wíhiē̼zug Se has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Wíhiē̼zug Se ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The locals seem to have responded to their slow downfall by recreating Wíhiē̼zug Se as one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which the town brings to mind.

Cultural Notes

Wíhiē̼zug Se's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Wíhiē̼zug Se most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Leopard (Cat, Great) near Wíhiē̼zug Se are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Wíhiē̼zug Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via chanting.

Points of Interest

While private tutelage of worthy apprentices can be had even in most remote villages, Wíhiē̼zug Se is home to a proper school dedicated to teaching magic. Such schools are usually small, with no more than a few dozen pupils, most of whom will fail for lack of talent or discipline. The instructors are rarely first-rate, usually serving only for the pay and status, but sometimes a genius sorcerer will find a reason to observe likely apprentices here. Given the unfortunate accident potential of the school, it’s probably isolated or well-fortified.
